Hobbies & Stuff

Although I don't get a great deal of spare time, the countryside around my home isn't to be missed, so I ensure to run every other day and stay as active as I can. In between, I stargaze incessantly, read, listen to great music, take long walks through the olive groves...and sometimes the cats and I simply stare at the moon together. (they seem to like it as long as I don't try to sing).

To keep stimulated, I keep myself caffeinated to the point of insanity, complete endless brainteaser puzzles, and stay alert for worthy causes to support.

Basically, I do what I can to ensure I stretch my potential and become the best I can be. And if I can bring a little light into someone's life while I do that...excellent! ▲

My name is Andy and I am a military and police veteran from the UK, who now lives on the sunny Greek island of Kos with my wife, Annette, and a growing family of rescue cats. I have always had a love of writing and discovering the unknown, and my new home provides the perfect inspiration to be creative.

An astronomy and law graduate, I devote some of my spare time to assisting NASA on two of their remote research projects, and write educational articles for Astronaut.com and Amazing Stories.

A contracted author of both fiction and poetry, I do what I can to support various charities through my written work, and also have the privilege of being a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America, the British Science Fiction Association, the British Fantasy Society and the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers.
